The FREE Neck and Shoulders Tension Guide
Discover a different way to ease your neck and shoulder tension with two short videos inside a PDF guide
Awareness - Alignment - Application
Does your neck and shoulder tension keep coming back, no matter how much you stretch or try to relax?
Maybe you wake up with that deep, aching “coat hanger” pain across the tops of your shoulders. or your neck feels stuck, and reaching overhead feels really hard and uncomfortable.
You've tried stretching, massage, rolling your shoulders back or even those posture correctors, but the tension keeps creeping back.
What if the answer isn't just to stretch more, but to explore how you're organizing your body?
With hypermobility, having the range of motion to perform a movement doesn't always mean you've found an effective way to organize and support it.
Instead of constantly trying to release tension, you can start by developing awareness of how you hold and move your body, and exploring what changes when you approach movement differently.
Start with exploring how your move!
These two short videos introduce you to the Aware Strength approach: notice your body, explore your alignment, and discover new ways to organize movement.
✔ Awareness (about [X] min): Find your head's balance point
Follow-along workouts built to complement your ballet training instead of exhausting you or competing with your rehearsal schedule.
✔ Alignment (about [X] min): Explore a different way to organize your upper body
Short and effective follow along videos so you know exactly how to get the most out of your technique, prep your body before training, and take care of it after.
✔ Application: Take it into everyday movement
Ask questions, get feedback, and train alongside dancers who have the same goals and priorities as you. Stay consistent and motivated as you get strong together!
Is this guide right for you?
This guide is for you if you're hypermobile, or have been told you're "too flexible," and your neck and shoulders seem to be working overtime.
You've tried stretching, but you're still searching for an approach that makes sense for your body.
You want to understand how your body moves, feel more confident in your movement, and build a foundation that supports the activities you love.
You don't need an official hypermobility diagnosis or a background in movement. Just a willingness to slow down, notice, and explore.

Meet Elena, founder of Harmonic Motion
I'm Elena Boiarskaia, a movement coach with a PhD in Kinesiology and lived experience with hypermobility.
After years of recurring injuries and struggling to find a way to keep training and dancing, I began exploring how movement awareness, alignment, and strength could help me work more effectively with my body. That journey became the foundation of my work.
I chose the name Harmonic Motion because life doesn't move in a straight line. We experience peaks and valleys—times when we feel strong and capable, and times when things become more challenging. I believe the goal isn't to eliminate every setback, but to learn how to adapt, build capacity, and keep moving toward what matters to us.
Through Aware Strength, I bring that philosophy into practice, helping hypermobile people build body awareness, alignment, and strength so they can pursue the movement goals they love.
Because you shouldn't have to choose between caring for your body and pursuing what you're passionate about.
